GAME FORMAT
18 & Up, HALF COURT, DOUBLE ELIMINATION
This tournament is for ages 18+ (16+ with parent signature) Double Elimination (but each team is guaranteed three games).
Games will be played using half court.
Games will be 20 minutes (max) long or first team to reach a pre-determined score (likely 25 but subject to change).
A coin toss will determine which team gets the ball to start.
Teams must take the ball back after each change of possession.
The ball will change possession after each made basket and after free throw attempts. There is no
“make it, take it” rule.
The ball must be checked by an opposing player before it is put into play.
Each basket is worth one point; “Three-point” shots will be worth 2
points. The official size ball will be used for the tournament.
Dunking is not allowed.
At game time, if the team is missing one player a 5 minutes grace period will be allotted for them to
find an alternate player (which must be approved by the supervisor).
Player Changes: If a player is injured or cannot attend a game during the tournament a replacement
player must be approved by the supervisor.
Teams MUST START THE GAME WITH THREE PLAYERS but may finish with two (less than two is a
forfeit).

Technical Fouls: unsportsmanlike acts such as taunting, baiting or trash talk. Aggressive physical play
will not be tolerated and will result in ejection from the tournament (two shot penalty).
No overtime will be played.
High Schoolers 16+ may play with Parent/Guardian Signature

Thank you for registering for the Hoops for Heroes 3x3 Basketball Tournament benefiting Serve Strong: The Corban Scott Goad Memorial Foundation! We’re excited to have you join us for a day of fun, competition, and community support.
Event Details
• Date: Saturday, March 7th, 2026
• Time: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Check-in starts at 10:00 - 11:00 AM)
• Location: Pine Eden Church Gym, 976 Genesis Road, Crossville, TN 38555 (gray church just down from Buccees)
*Winning Team wins a prize, free shirts, and bragging rights!
Check-in Information
• Arrival Time: Please do your best to check in between 10:00-11:00 to ensure your team is properly checked in.
• Team Captains: Check-in at the registration table to receive the tournament schedule and instructions.
• Bracket: A tournament bracket will be posted at the gym and filled in on the day of the event just before play.
Additional Details
• Photos: All teams will take a photo with the Serve Strong Foundation logo before and after the event. Press will be on site.
• Prizes: The winning team will receive a prize, free shirts and bragging rights!
--Optional: Prizes for Knockout & 3 point competitions for gift card giveaways
• There's no public concession this year, however, bottled waters and protein bars will be provided onsite at no charge.
About the Cause
All proceeds from this tournament will go to Serve Strong: The Corban Scott Goad Memorial Foundation to support first responders, especially those serving rural communities in the Upper Cumberland.
