About

THE CORBAN SCOTT GOAD MEMORIAL FOUNDATION

MISSION

Our foundation seeks to remember Corban Scott Goad through service and support of first responders and their families as well as all those who assist in sideline medical response in community athletics, and also through other good works in Upper Cumberland TN and surrounding areas.

MOTTO

“Serve Strong” Our motto encourages others to remain strong or steadfast in their commitments and dedication to others and to follow all chosen projects through to completion in service and in love.

FILLING IN THE GAPS

"Serve Strong" The Corban Scott Goad Memorial Foundation is committed to supporting community first responders by "filling in the gaps". What does that mean?

"Filling in the gaps", means covering needs that federal, state or county funds are sometimes unable to cover.  In many cases, certain types of funding have strings or limitations that hinder purchasing much needed items. Our hope is to gift first responder stations or teams, or families with items that may sometimes seem out of reach.  First Responders often spend as much time at their stations as they do at home.  We want First Responders to be well-rested, fit and strong, mentally and emotionally well, and to have the items they need to save lives.

The foundation further commits to special emphasis, recognition and focus on EMS personnel who are often less recognized but who “Serve Strong” offering life-saving comfort and support in the midst of tragedy and trauma. The Foundation is also further committed to “other good works” to serve our community and positively impact our neighbors as we are able.

A LITTLE BACKGROUND

Developing the Corban Scott Goad Memorial Foundation was a way for family and friends to combine things that were important to Corban to make a difference. We honor Corban Scott Goad by serving others and supporting all First Responders (EMS, firefighters, law enforcement etc.) and also through positively impacting and supporting athletics especially athletic trainers and others who provide sideline medical services and support, and by doing other good works.

FOUNDATIONAL SCRIPTURE

While the Corban Scott Goad Memorial Foundation is not a religious or faith-based organization, we are inspired and guided by the following three foundational scriptures:

“Don’t look out for only your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.” Philippians 2:4
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13
“…whatever benefit you might have received from me is Corban (that is to say, a gift devoted to God).” Mark 7:11

At the Corban Scott Goad Memorial Foundation, we also believe strongly in the power of prayer.
